Biography
Felix Ngoka, the third of six children born to Sylvanus and Mercy Ngoka, knew he wanted to be a doctor. So, in 1960 when just 20 years of age, he traveled to London, England where he began his medical studies at Chatham Cross Hospital. He graduated from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland and completed his residency in Birmingham, England and Glasgow, Scotland before coming to Saskatchewan.

Here he found himself in a very small community, Pangman, where he spent a year before moving to Regina as a General Practitioner For thirty years Dr. Ngoka has cared for people in Saskatchewan. He was the sole physician in charge of the Emergency Department at the Plains Health Centre when it opened in 1976. He also did some pioneering work in Los Angeles, California opening industrial clinics there.

Felix married Grace Okoro in 1977 and they raised three children, Ikenna, Chinedu, and Nnenna. Grace studied Social Work at the University of Regina and continues to work in the field. Together they have raised a family of three, all graduates of Campbell Collegiate who have gone on to further studies at the University of Regina, University of Saskatchewan and Queen’s University in Ontario.

Dr. Ngoka has the most important trait of a good doctor. He has a warm smile and laughs easily making anyone feel relaxed and comfortable
